Before you book.
How often does a deck need oiling?
Most Melbourne decks want a re-oil every twelve to eighteen months, sooner in full sun or near the water. Done on time, the deck never needs sanding again.
Can a grey, weathered deck be brought back?
Almost always. Grey is the surface, not the timber. If the boards are sound underneath, a sand and oil returns the colour.
Oil or stain?
Oil feeds the timber and shows the grain; a stain adds colour and evens out mixed boards. We test both on your own deck before you decide.
